New product release

I’ve been working on a new product for my Defender - a clean, professional solution for routing warm air from my diesel heater into my roof tent.

Until now, I’ve been running a duct out the back door and up into the tent. This means putting it away before bed and getting out in the morning to reconnect it, not ideal when it’s freezing outside!

After thinking through the easiest, most convenient solution, I designed a panel-mounted port that creates a solid penetration through the rear quarter window. The window is removed and replaced with a 4mm aluminium panel with a 90mm hole for the port.

After multiple prototypes, perfecting the custom snap-lock thread, O-ring grooves, and printability, I’ve got a product ready for testing.

Soon I’ll be fitting this to my own truck and using it through winter before releasing it as a product.
